Twins Lose Sixth Straight In Rain-Shortened Affair
(Minnesota News Network- Cincinnati, OH) — The Cincinnati Reds earned a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins in a rain-shortened, six-inning game at Great American Ball Park last night. Spencer Steer hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first to put Cincinnati up for good. Nick Lodolo earned his fifth win after holding Minnesota to two runs on three hits in six innings. The 39-35 Reds are on a four-game winning streak and sit in third-place in the N-L Central division. Byron Buxton homered in the losing effort, while Bailey Ober was charged with his fourth loss after surrendering four runs on nine hits in five-and-two-thirds innings. The 36-37 Twins are on a six-game losing streak and sitting in third-place in the A-L Central. The Reds are going for a three-game series sweep with game three today at 11:40 A-M.
