Twins Monster Rally Falls One Run Short

(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins nearly completed a massive comeback in a 10-9 loss to the New York Yankees at Target Field last night. The Twins trailed 10-1 through four innings before storming back to within a run in the ninth. However, Royce Lewis struck out to end the game. James Outman, Ryan Fitzgerald, and Trevor Larnach all went deep in the losing effort, while Zebby Matthews was charged with his sixth loss after allowing nine runs on 11 hits in three innings. The Twins are in fourth place in the A-L Central at 66-85. They send Taj Bradley to the mound against the Yankees tonight in the rubber match of the three-game set in Minneapolis.
