Twins Pick Up First Win
The Minnesota Twins are in the win column for the first time this year after taking down the White Sox 8-3 last night in Chicago. After a sluggish start to the game, Minnesota scored five runs in the top of the sixth inning, to erase a 3-0 deficit and claim the lead for good. Minnesota outfielder Harrison Bader blasted a three-run homer in the ninth to provide some cushion. Simeon Woods-Richardson gave the Twins a good start, according to manger Rocco Baldelli.
Louie Varland earned the win out of the bullpen as Minnesota improved to 1-4. Pablo Lopez starts for the Twins against the Sox today at 1:10 P-M. Catch all the action on KNUJ and SAM 107.3, beginning with the pre-game at 12:30pm.
