Twins Rally For Win In Toronto
(Minnesota News Network- Toronto, ON) — The Minnesota Twins scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to beat the Blue Jays in Toronto 7-5 last night at the Rogers Centre. Mickey Gasper hit a game-tying home run to begin the inning before Matt Wallner launched a go-ahead three-run shot. Luke Keaschall also went deep in the victory, and Michael Tonkin earned his second win in relief. The Twins snapped a three-game skid and remain in fourth place in the A-L Central at 60-72. Toronto slugger George Springer hit a pair of homers in the losing effort, and Jeff Hoffman was charged with his fifth loss out of the pen. The Jays lead the A-L East with a 77-56 record. The Twins send Simeon Woods Richardson to the mound against Toronto tonight in the rubber game of the three-game set. First pitch is 6:07 P-M.
