Twins salvage a game from Cleveland

(Cleveland, OH) — The Minnesota Twins held on for a 5-4 win over Cleveland on Sunday. With the win, the Twins salvage one game of the three-game series, and they stop a four-game losing streak. Minnesota scored four runs in the first, and added another in the eighth. Cleveland scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth off Michael Tonkin, and had the tying run at first base, but Erasmo Ramirez got two flyouts to end the game and pick up his first save. Minnesota had lost game one of the series 5-4 in ten innings on Friday, and lost game two on Saturday, 3-2. The Twins improve to 52-59. Next up is a three-game series at Detroit, starting tonight.
