Twins sign former All Star
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are adding an All-Star first baseman. The team signed Ty France to a one-year deal worth one-million dollars yesterday. France was an All-Star for the Mariners during the 2022 season. He spent last year with both Seattle and Cincinnati, hitting .234 with 13 home runs and 51 R-B-I in 140 games. The deal is not guaranteed. Minnesota opens spring training tomorrow with pitchers and catchers reporting to Fort Myers. The first full squad workout comes on Monday. The opening of the Grapefruit League schedule happens on February 22nd when the Twins host the Braves in Fort Myers.
