Twins Suffer Ugly Loss To Boston
(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Boston Red Sox claimed their series against the Minnesota Twins by rolling to a 13-1 victory in the rubber match at Target Field yesterday. Boston broke open a close game with a four-run fifth inning and then added five runs in the ninth inning. Boston outfielder Jarren Duran led the way at the plate after going three for five with a two-run homer and four runs batted in. Boston has now won four of its last five games and improved to 59-51 on the year. Matt Wallner provided all of the Twins’ offense after hitting a solo home run. Minnesota has now dropped four of its last five games and sits at 51-57. The Twins are off tonight and will visit Cleveland tomorrow night.
