Twins Sweep Angels
The Minnesota Twins finished off a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels with a 5-0 win at Target Field yesterday. Twins right-hander Joe Ryan earned his second win of the season after striking out 11 and allowing just four hits in seven scoreless innings. Ty France and Ryan Jeffers each drove in a pair of runs in the victory. The Twins have won five of six and improved to 12-16 on the year. Jose Soriano was charged with his fourth loss after surrendering three earned runs and one unearned run on five hits in five innings. The Angels have dropped five of six and sit at 12-15 this season. The Twins outscored the Angels 21-5 in the three-game sweep. Good way to finish up a homestand, according to Manager Rocco Baldelli.
Minnesota will start a four-game series at Cleveland tonight at 5:10 P-M. Coverage begins at 4:30pm on KNUJ and SAM 107.3.
