Twins Swept By White Sox
(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins continued their free-fall with an 11-8 loss to the Chicago White Sox at Target Field. The Twins led by three entering the top of the seventh before allowing five runs in the frame. Matt Wallner and Kody Clemens both homered in the losing effort, while Travis Adams was charged with his third loss out of the pen. Minnesota has dropped five of six and remain in fourth place in the A-L Central at 62-78. Chicago’s Kyle Teel and Colson Montgomery both homered in the victory, while Wikelman Gonzalez picked up the win in relief. The Sox are in last place in the AL Central at 53-88. This is the first time in the 64-year history of the Twins franchise that Minnesota been swept by the White Sox in a four-game series. Pablo Lopez starts for the Twins at Kansas City tonight at 6:40 P-M.
