Twins Swept in Houston

The Houston Astros walked off the Minnesota Twins for a second straight day and completed a three-game weekend sweep with a 2-1 victory in a 10-inning yesterday in Texas. The Twins led the game 1-0 heading into the ninth inning, but Minnesota closer Jhoan Duran allowed the game-tying run on a Victor Caratini sacrifice fly, sending the game to extra innings. Mauricio Dubon hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to produce the Houston win. Astros reliever Josh Hader notched his fourth win of the season as Houston improved to 41-30. Brooks Lee was 3-for-4 with a solo homer for Minnesota in the setback. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says they had good pitching in the game, but not quite good enough.

Cole Sands was tagged with the loss as the Twins dropped to 36-35. Minnesota is off tonight and will open a three-game interleague series at Cincinnati tomorrow night.
