Twins take the series from the Blue Jays

The Minnesota Twins took the rubber match of their weekend series against the Toronto Blue Jays with a 5-1 win in Canada yesterday. The game was scoreless in the top of the seventh when Carlos Santana hit a three-run home run to put Minnesota up for good. Max Kepler added a two-run double in the eighth to seal the win. Bailey Ober earned his fourth win after striking out ten and allowing just one hit in six-and-a-third scoreless innings. The Twins have won 17 of their last 20 games and are a half game behind first-place Cleveland in the A-L Central Division. Alek Manoah was charged with the loss after surrendering three unearned runs on for hits in seven innings. The Jays have dropped four of six. Minnesota is off tonight and will welcome the New York Yankees tomorrow to start a three-game series.
