Twins Trade Paddack, Dobnak To Tigers
(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins began their fire sale yesterday. The team sent starting pitcher Chris Paddack and Triple-A arm Randy Dobnak to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for catching prospect Enrique Jimenez. The Twins acquired Paddack ahead of the 2022, but he was just 3-9 with a 4.95 earned run average in 21 starts this season. The M-L-B trade deadline is Thursday. In other roster news, the Twins called up reliever Michael Tonkin from Triple-A St. Paul and optioned right-hander Travis Adams back to the Saints. The Twins also designated pitcher Connor Gillispie for release or assignment.
