Twins use long ball to beat Mariners
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins crushed three home runs during a 6-3 win over the Seattle Mariners at Target Field last night. Carlos Correa and Trevor Larnach went back-to-back in the first inning, while Willi Castro went deep in the second frame. Castro added a triple and two R-B-I to pace the Twins at the plate. Chris Paddack improved to 4-1 after striking out ten and giving up just one run on eight hits in five-and-a-third innings, while Jhoan Duran picked up his third save. Minnesota is in second place in the A-L Central at 21-15, two-and-a-half-games behind first-place Cleveland. Seattle dipped to 20-17 and remains in second-place in the A-L West behind Texas.
