Twins win 10th straight

(Chicago, IL) — The Minnesota Twins have their first ten-game winning streak since 2008. The Twins completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox with a 10-5 win at Guaranteed Rate Field yesterday. The game was tied at four heading into the seventh when Max Kepler and Jose Miranda laced back-to-back R-B-I singles. Minnesota put the game away with four runs in the top of the ninth. Alex Kirilloff went deep in the victory, while Willi Castro was a homer away from the cycle. Bailey Ober earned his third win after allowing four runs on six hits in six innings. Minnesota remains in fourth-place in the A-L Central at 17-13. Tommy Pham and Korey Lee each homered for the Southsiders, and Dominic Leone was charged with the loss in relief. The 6-25 White Sox have lost all seven games they’ve played against the Twins this season. Minnesota is off tonight and will open a three-game home series with the Boston Red Sox tomorrow night.
