Twins Win 11th Straight

The Minnesota Twins beat the Orioles 4-0, clinching a three-game series sweep and capturing their 11th win in a row. DaShawn Kiersey Jr. and Byron Buxton both went deep for Minnesota in the victory, while starting and winning pitcher Chris Paddack worked seven shutout innings to earn the win. Buxton and shortstop Carlos Correa left the game after colliding in the outfield in the third inning on a defensive play. They have been placed in concussion protocol. Baltimore’s Ryan Mountcastle secured two of Baltimore’s six hits in the setback. Tomoyuki Sugano (toh-moh-YOO-kee soo-GAH-noh) got the loss, allowing four runs in six-and-a-third innings. Minnesota is 24-20 and in fourth place in the American League Central. Baltimore’s third straight loss gives the team a record of 15-and-27, still in last place in the A-L East.
