Twins Win 4th Straight

The Minnesota Twins hit a pair of home runs to help them a 5-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles at Target Field last night. Byron Buxton hit a three-run homer in the third inning and Harrison Bader hit a two-run shot in the seventh to complete the Twins’ scoring. Manager Rocco Baldelli says he used Bader as a pinch hitter in the seventh and it paid off.

Danny Coulombe earned the victory in relief. Minnesota has won four in a row and sits at 17-20. The O’s have dropped four in a row and are now 13-22. Baltimore’s Ramon Laureano and Heston Kjerstad each drove in a run in the loss. Charlie Morton got the loss after allowing three runs in four innings. Minnesota goes for the three-game sweep of the series with a 12:10 P-M game today in Minneapolis. Coverage begins at 11:30am on SAM 107.3. Coverage on KNUJ begins at 12:30pm.
