Twins win again

(Minnesota News Network- Cleveland, OH) — The Minnesota Twins blasted the Guardians 11-1 to open their four-game A-L Central series last night in Cleveland. Minnesota right-hander Bailey Ober earned the victory after holding the Guardians to one run over seven-and-two-thirds innings. Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers led the way at the plate after going 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and three R-B-I. Edouard Julien hit a solo homer on the first pitch of the game for the Twins. Minnesota has now won four consecutive games and six of the past seven to improve to 13-16. Gavin Williams was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks. Cleveland has now dropped three straight contests and sits at 15-13. Game two of the series is tonight at 5:10 P-M.
