Twins Win Eighth Straight Game
(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins wrapped up a weekend sweep over the San Francisco Giants with a 7-6, ten-inning victory at Target Field yesterday. Ryan Jeffers tied the game with an R-B-I ground out in the bottom of the tenth, before outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. hit a walk-off single a few batters later. Brooks Lee homered in the victory, while Jhoan Duran picked up the win in relief. The Twins are on an eight-game winning streak and sit at 21-20 on the season. Giants closer Ryan Walker was charged with the loss out of the bullpen. The Twins are off tonight and will open a three-game series at Baltimore tomorrow night.
