Twins Win Series

The Minnesota Twins took the rubber match of their series against the Texas Rangers 4-0 in Arlington yesterday. Byron Buxton hit a pair of homers and drove in all of Minnesota’s runs, while Bailey Ober earned his sixth win by holding the Rangers to two hits in six scoreless innings. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says Ober will feel good going into the offseason after this win.

The Twins have won three of four to improve to 69-90 on the season. Texas has dropped nine of its last ten games and is 80-79. Former Twin Tyler Mahle was charged with his fourth loss after allowing a run on five hits in five frames. The Twins embark on the final three-game series of the year with game one of the set in Philadelphia tonight at 5:45 P-M.
