Twins Winning Streak Ends

(Cleveland, OH) — The Minnesota Twins had their four-game winning streak snapped with a 2-1 loss to the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field Tuesday night in Ohio.

Twins reliever Louie Varland gave up a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to Guardians designated hitter Kyle Manzardo and was charged with the loss.

Ty France homered in the losing effort as the Twins fell to 13-17 on the season.

Cleveland is now 16-13.

Pablo Lopez starts for Minnesota against Cleveland tonight (Wednesday) in game three of the four-game series.

First pitch is 5:10 P-M.
