TWO CHILDREN DIE IN MANKATO HOUSE FIRE
Two children were killed in a house fire in Mankato early Monday morning. Mankato Public safety says they were called around 2 am to 233 ½ Bradley Street and found flames coming from the upstairs apartment. Crews were told there were two adults and three children in the apartment. An adult male and one child made it out without injury but two kids were killed and the mother flown to Hennepin County Medical Center. Names are being withheld at this time until family is notified. The occupants of the lower apartment were able to get out safely. An exact cause has not been determined but authorities do not believe it was intentional. The state fire marshal is assisting in the investigation.
