Two Injured Friday During Alcohol Related Crash
Two people were injured in a single vehicle accident over the weekend in Beltrami County. Officials say alcohol was a factor.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Marty W. Funmaker (24) of Fargo, was injured when the southbound 2001 Chevy Tahoe he was driving struck a tree in wet conditions off of Highway 71 near Blackduck.
Funmaker and a passenger, Avery Jaymes Smith (18) of Redby, were taken to hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Both were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident.
According to the State Patrol report, Funmaker had been consuming alcohol prior to the crash reported just after 7:30pm.
