Two Injured In Collision Involving A Snowplow
Two people were injured when a vehicle struck a Department of Transportation snowplow Monday in Becker County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Austin Lee Engel (23) of Detroit Lakes was injured when the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier he was driving “ran into the back of the plow truck” between mile markers 47 & 48 on Highway 34 in Height of Land Township.
Engel, and the driver of the snowplow, Zachery Allen Krause, (28) also of Detroit Lakes, both suffered injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Engel was taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital. Both were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident reported just before 7am.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
