Two Injured in Traffic Crash Involving Downed Power Line
An intersection was temporarily closed, and Nodak Electric Cooperative customers were left without power Thursday after a driver allegedly drove through a stop sign, causing an accident in Grand Forks County.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 31 year old man, who was not identified in the report, “disregarded the stop sign” at 1st Avenue Northeast and 34th Street, around 4 miles south of Northwood. The westbound F350 he was driving struck a southbound F150, and both vehicles came to rest after striking an electrical power pole.
No word on the extent of injuries to the drivers, though both men were reportedly injured. Neither of them were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident reported just after 7:30am.
