TWO KILLED IN CHRISTMAS EVE PIPESTONE COUNTY CRASH
Two people were killed in a Pipestone County crash Wednesday. The state patrol was called to a collision between a Chrysler Town and County and a semi at the intersection of Highway 75 and 21st Street in Pipestone County Christmas Eve at 1:42 pm. Authorities say the Chrysler was driven by 71-year-old Patricia Struiksma of Chandler who was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger 69-year-old Donna Vanthof of Leota was taken to the Pipestone County Medical Center where she also died of her injuries. The driver of the semi 53-year-old Chad Walters of Pipestone wasn’t hurt. Authorities say the road was wet. Edgerton Fire and ambulance, Pipestone ambulance and the Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
