UPDATE – TWO MINNESOTA LAWMAKERS SHOT IN APPARENT “TARGETED” ATTACKS

UPDATE – Two Minnesota lawmakers have been shot in a reported “targeted” attack Saturday in Champlin and Brooklyn Park.  Reports say Representative and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed in the attack.  Senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot but are expected to survive.  Authorities believe the suspect  was impersonating law enforcement and shot the lawmakers and their spouses in their homes.  At least one source has the lawmakers conditions described as grave.  The suspect is still at large and the FBI is helping in the search.  A shelter-in-place has been issued in Brooklyn Park.  Governor Walz has activated the State Emergency Operations Center.  More details will be released as they are available.   The suspect is described as a white male, brown hair, wearing body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants.
