UNITED WAY OF BROWN COUNTY AREA BACKPACK PROGRAM UNDERWAY

The United Way of the Brown County Area is again doing their backpack program this year.  Executive Director Sandra Juni says the boxes for school supply donations went out July 1 and will be picked up July 25.  Volunteers will then pack the backpacks at the New Ulm Civic Center for the next week with pickup on July 30 and 31.  Juni says an application and more information for a backpack is available at uwbrowncounty.org.  Juni says they gave out 530 backpacks last year and she wants to give out 600 this year.  She also said they need volunteers to help with packing the backpacks at the Civic Center.  You can get more information by calling the United Way at 507-354-6512.
