University of Minnesota Morris Announced its New Season of its Performing Arts Series

The University of Minnesota Morris has announced its new season of its Performing Arts Series. Things will kick off 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 19 with Tangorium: Bridge and Wolak with Water Street Dance Milwaukee. The performance will be free thanks to an anonymous donor. At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25 will be Forgottonia, a theatrical, multi-media portrait of rural Illinois. Then on Thursday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m. Broadway’s Mel Johnson, Junior will bring his one-man show, “Frederick Douglas: In the Shadow of Slavery.” The show blends story, song and history to tell the story of this important historical figure. Things wrap up with the A Cappella quintet And Now I See at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28. The group traces the roots , impact and cultural significance of African Americans.
