University of Minnesota Morris Ranks in Top Public Schools
The University of Minnesota Morris is tied for sixth in the Top Public Schools in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category for U.S. News and World Report, up one notch from last year’s rankings. Additionally, U of M Morris improved its overall ranking among National Liberal Arts Colleges by seven places from No. 122 to No. 115, and was ranked 40 in social mobility, up from the No. 47 position last year. This ranking measures graduation rates for students from lower-income backgrounds.
This is the 27th consecutive appearance for U of M Morris in this annual college ranking. For nearly 40 years, these rankings have been published to help high school students make informed decisions about what schools might provide the best educational resources for their needs.
The U.S. News and World Report results reflect a wide variety of criteria, including graduation rates, indebtedness, faculty resources and expert opinion. For comparison, the top four institutions in the National Public Liberal Arts Colleges category are national military institutions including the U.S. Naval and Air Force Academies and Military Academy at West Point.
