VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS LIFTED ON SLEEPY EYE LAKE

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has lifted the vehicle restrictions on Sleepy Eye Lake as of 9 this (Tuesday) morning.  The restrictions were imposed for cars and trucks Saturday evening.  The DNR reminds you that over 20 inches of ice is required for driving a large truck with wheelhouse shelter. 13 – 17 inches for driving a truck, 9 – 12 inches for driving a car.  Four inches of ice is required for walking, ice fishing, ice skating or other activities on foot, 5 -7  inches for snowmobiling or riding a small ATV and 7 – 8 inches for riding a side-by-side ATV.
