Vikings and Thielen mutually part ways
(Eagan, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota’s reunion with Adam Thielen has come to an end. The Vikings waived the veteran wide receiver yesterday. The team and Thielen both said that he asked for his release in order to have a bigger role with another team for the final games of his last N-F-L season. The Vikings traded for Thielen before the season. He had previously played with Minnesota from 2014 until 2022. The 35-year-old caught just eight passes for 69 yards in his second stint with the Purple. Thielen said in a written statement that he will “always be a Viking.”
