Vikings Dealing With Injuries
(Minnesota News Network- Eagan, MN) — The injuries are mounting up for the Minnesota Vikings. The team placed starting running back Aaron Jones on injured reserve with a hamstring injury yesterday. The move comes a day after the Purple announced that J-J McCarthy will miss Week Three due to an ankle sprain. Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell says he expects linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel to practice today and then they’ll see how he responds. The Vikings signed free agent quarterback Desmond Ridder and running back Cam Akers to add depth to the roster. Carson Wentz will be the starting quarterback on Sunday when Minnesota hosts Cincinnati at noon at U-S Bank Stadium.
