Vikings Finish Season With Win

The Minnesota Vikings ended their season on a five-game winning streak with a 16-3 victory over the Green Bay Packers at U-S Bank Stadium yesterday. Fullback C-J Ham scored a touchdown in the closing seconds of the first half to give Minnesota a two-score lead, and the Vikings kept the Packers off the scoreboard until the last play of the game. Justin Jefferson caught eight passes for 101 yards to go over 1,000 yards for the sixth season in a row. J-J McCarthy passed for 182 yards before leaving the game when his injured hand became too sore to play. The Purple finish the year in third place in the N-F-C North at 9-8. Clayton Tune had just 34 passing yards in the losing effort. The Packers head into the playoffs with a 9-7-and-1 record. The Vikings honored both Ham and safety Harrison Smith with videos late in the game. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell says it was good to honor Harrison Smith and C-J Ham.
