Vikings Getting Ready For Patriots

The Minnesota Vikings had a light workout yesterday and will be off of training camp today. The Vikes are coming off of Saturday’s 20-10 preseason win over Houston. Things will ramp up significantly tomorrow when the New England Patriots comes to town to take part in two days of joint practices at T-C-O Performance Center. Minnesota tight end T-J Hockenson says the two days of work will be important in the development of the team and he’s looking forward to it.

In other team news, the Vikings are bolstering their offensive line depth. The team claimed guard Michael Gonzalez off waivers yesterday. Gonzalez was just released by the Falcons after going undrafted earlier this year. He started 32 games during four seasons with the Louisville Cardinals. The Purple placed offensive tackle Matt Nelson on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
