Vikings McCarthy Ruled Out of Thursday’s Game
(Minnesota News Network/Eagan, MN) – Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy will not play in Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Coach Kevin O’Connell says McCarthy has been ruled out due to a hairline fracture in his right hand.
He was hurt late in the first half of Sunday’s 16-13 win at the Giants.
Former University of Minnesota QB Max Brosmer will make his second career start on Christmas Day.
Brosmer led the Vikings on the game-winning field goal drive at Met Life Stadium.
