Vikings Prepping For Sunday Night Football
(Minnesota News Network- Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are putting the finishing touches on their game prep for their home opener. Sunday night they’ll open up U.S. Bank Stadium against the Atlanta Falcons. Minnesota is 1-0 coming off an incredible 27-24 rally last Monday in Chicago that featured 21 fourth quarter points. They’ll face a Falcons team that fell on the road last Sunday 23-20 in Tampa Bay. Michael Penix threw for 298 yards and a touchdown strike in the loss. Penix was drafted eighth overall by the Falcons in 2024, the same draft that the Vikings drafted quarterback J.J. McCarthy at 10th. Kick off is at 7:20 P-M on Sunday night from Minneapolis.
