Vikings slip by Giants
(East Rutherford, NJ/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Vikings are on a three-game winning streak following a 16-13 win over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. J.J. McCarthy rushed for a touchdown before leaving the game before halftime with a hand injury. However, Max Brosmer led Minnesota into field goal range with four minutes left in regulation, and Will Reichard kicked a go-ahead, 30-yard field goal. Andrew Van Ginkel sacked Jaxson Dart on fourth down of the ensuing drive to seal Minnesota’s win. The Purple improved to 7-and-8. Dart passed for just 33 yards and an interception in the losing effort. The Giants are on a nine-game losing streak.
