Waconia wins State Amateur Baseball Title

For the First time in their history the Waconia Lakers are the Class C State Amateur Baseball Champions.   The Lakers beat Jordan 5-2 on Labor Day to claim their first state title.  Starting and Winning Pitcher John Bezdicek threw 8 1/3 innings of no hit ball in the win.  Bezdicek was later named as the State Tournament MVP and the Tourney’s Most Outstanding Pitcher.  Jake Hendricks hit a 2 run Home Run in the win.
