Warroad native calls it a career
(Washington, DC/Minnesota News Network) — Washington Capitals star T-J Oshie announced his retirement from the N-H-L after 16 seasons. Oshie spent his first seven seasons playing for the Blues before nine years with the Capitals. He missed all of this year with a back injury. Oshie rose to prominence after scoring four shootout goals for Team U-S-A in a win over Russia during the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. The Warroad product scored 302 career goals and dished out 393 assists in 1,010 games between St. Louis and Washington.
