WATKINS MAN MURDER CASE ON HOLD FOR MENTAL EVALUATION
A Watkins’ man’s murder case is on hold until a review hearing in March. A Wright County judge ordered 40-year-old David Bruce Delong will undergo a mental competency examination to determine whether he is mentally fit to aid in his defense. Delong is charged with first-degree premeditated murder and second-degree intentional murder and second-degree intentional murder in the bludgeoning death of co-worker Amber Czech of Hutchinson. Authorities were called to Advanced Process Technologies in Cokato November 11th and say Czech was found at her workstation with significant head trauma and died at the scene. The charges say Delong allegedly told authorities that he didn’t like Czech and confessed to her murder.
