Wentz out for Season
(Eagan, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz will be out for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. The team announced yesterday that the signal-caller will undergo season-ending surgery on his shoulder later this week. Wentz has started the last five games for the Vikings after J-J McCarthy injured his ankle in Week Two. He passed for 1,216 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions this season. McCarthy is expected to return as Minnesota’s starter this weekend against the Lions. Game time is noon. In other team news, the Vikes claimed Green Bay tight end Ben Sims from waivers.
