Horticulture Program Director/Researcher 5: The University of Minnesota West Central Research & Outreach Center (WCROC) is seeking a person to oversee the horticulture program and public display gardens. Duties include participating in strategic planning of the program, initiating and collaborating on research projects, leading day-to-day operations, managing budgets and overseeing staff, as well as organizing and executing horticultural events. The candidate should have an MS/MA in horticulture or a related field with at least one year’s experience, with an understanding of common horticulture practices and equipment. Preferred qualifications include a PhD in horticulture, and experience with leadership in program management, grant development, effective communication skills, as well as training and supervision.
