WESTBROOK MAN DIES IN SHOP FIRE

A rural Westbrook man was killed in a fire in his shop in rural Westbrook Saturday afternoon.  The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office says they were called just after 3 pm Saturday for the report of an explosion.  The caller said that 36-year-old Richard Larson had run into the shop but didn’t come out.  Crews were able to locate him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.  Westbrook, Dovray, Fulda and Storden Fire Departments along with the DNR responded.   The State Fire Marshal is assisting in the investigation.
