Wild beat Kraken in OT
(Seattle, WA/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota forward Mats Zuccarello scored 2:09 into O-T as the Wild slipped past the Kraken 3-2 in overtime last night in Seattle. The Wild led 2-0 after two periods on first period goals by Ryan Hartman and Brock Faber. But the Kraken pulled even with a pair of goals in the third period. That pushed the game past regulation until Kirill Kaprizov set up Zuccarello for his seventh career overtime goal. That’s puts an end to a two week, seven game, six city road trip where the Wild went 4-1-2 taking 10 out of a possible 14 points. Jesper Wallstedt takes the win on 26 saves to improve to 12-2-4 on the season. The Wild as a team improve to 26-11-8 and their 60 points remain tied with Dallas for second place in the league trailing only the Avalanche. Minnesota opens a three game homestand on Saturday when they host the Islanders at 7 P-M.
