Wild beat Kraken

(Seattle, WA/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Wild salvaged a split on their road trip with a 4-1 win on Monday night in Seattle. Marcus Johansson broke a 1-1 tie with his ninth of the season 8:12 in the third to score the eventual game winner. Kirill Kaprizov and Vladimir Tarasenko added empty net goals in the final two minutes to ice the victory. Joel Eriksson Ek had a three point game in the win as the Wild finished the four game road trip 2-2-0, stopped a two game losing streak and improved to 9-2-1 in their last 12 games overall. Filip Gustavsson made 23 saves in the win as the Wild beat the Kraken for the sixth straight time at Climate Pledge Arena. In injury news, Mats Zuccarello took a hit up high late in the first period and did not return. After the game head coach John Hynes had no update. Jake Middleton and Matt Boldy were also banged up in the game. Minnesota opens a four game home stand on Thursday when they host the Stars at 7 P-M.
