Wild blasted by NJ

(St. Paul, MN) — For just the second time since November 1st, the Minnesota Wild fell in regulation on home ice. New Jersey beat Minnesota 5-2 in St. Paul last night.. Ryan Hartman tied the game at 1-1 with his 12th of the season at 13:41 of the second period. But before the middle frame could end, Ondrej Palat scored with 6.7 seconds left on the clock and it was downhill from there. The Devils would score three more in the third before Marcus Foligno stopped the bleeding with just :19 seconds left in the game. The Wild have lost four of their last five overall and now fall to 12-2-4 in their last 18 games at Grand Casino Arena since November 1st. Jesper Wallstedt suffers the loss on 24 saves. The game was just the third time – and first since October of 2024 – in which all three Hughes brothers faced off at the same time. Quinn for Minnesota against his two younger brothers Jack and Luke for the Devils. The Wild finish their three game homestand on Thursday night against the Winnipeg Jets.
