Wild can’t hold lead, lose in OT
(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Once again the Wild battled from behind but in the end the Jets tied the game late and won in overtime 4-3 in St. Paul. Minnesota was down 2-0 after one period but scored three straight on goals by Kirill Kaprizov, Brock Faber and Marcus Johansson. But former Wild winger Nino Niederreiter scored midway through the third to tie the game at 3-3 then a bad Kaprizov turnover in the extra frame ended up on the stick of Kyle Connor who ended the game just :46 seconds into O-T. The Wild are now 0-1-2 to open the six game homestand and have also lost four straight overall. They’re home against the Penguins at 7 P-M tomorrow night.
