Wild dethrone Kings
(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota forward Mats Zuccarello scored the go ahead goal with under five minutes left in regulation as the Wild beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 last night in St. Paul. Ryan Hartman tied the game at 1-1 early in the second on a power play goal but it was Zuccarello that gave the Wild their first lead of the hockey game at 15:22 of the third also with the man advantage. He took a pass from Matt Boldy and fired through traffic to beat Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper for the eventual winner. Marcus Johansson iced the win into an empty net with under a minute left in the game. Filip Gustavsson got the win on 28 saves as the Wild improved to 2-2-1 in the first five games of their seven-game homestand. Game six of that span is tomorrow night at 8:30 P-M against the Kraken.
