Wild get a big win in OT
(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota forward Marco Rossi scored a power play goal 58-seconds into overtime to lift the Wild over the Dallas Stars 3-2. Marcus Foligno gave Minnesota the lead just five minutes into the third period but Dallas pulled even when Thomas Harley scored to make it a 2-2 hockey game at 13:05 of the final frame. But with Jason Robertson in the box for tripping, the Wild got a 4-on-3 man advantage in overtime and Rossi redirected a Mats Zuccarello pass for the winner. That stops the Wild’s four game losing streak and improves their record to 42-29-7 on the season. Their 91 points increases their hold on the second Wild Card spot and the final playoff position in the Western Conference. They now lead Calgary by six points in the standings with just four games left in the regular season. Minnesota will host San Jose on Wednesday night at 7 P-M.
