Wild hold off Chicago

(Chicago, IL) — Minnesota’s Marcus Foligno scored into an empty net goal to stop a furious Blackhawks rally and the Wild secured a 4-2 win last night in Chicago. The Wild led the Hawks 3-0 after two periods of play and were outshooting them 18-5, before Chicago scored twice on 15 shots in the third and were threatening to tie the game until Foligno iced the win. Jared Spurgeon, Freddy Gaudreau and Joel Eriksson Ek also scored for Minnesota and Matt Boldy had three assists. Filip Gustavsson made 18 saves for his 19th win of the season. The Wild stopped a two game losing streak and have now won six of their last eight on the road. The trip continues Wednesday night in Toronto at 6 P-M.
